Discover Guayusa
The Amazon’s Superleaf Tea
Tired of the jitters and crash of coffee? Looking for something with a smoother flavour than green tea, matcha or yerba mate? Tea made from the guayusa (“why-you-sa”) leaf provides sustained energy and focus, more antioxidants than green tea, and a deliciously smooth flavour. Discover it today!

Nourishing
Guayusa is packed with antioxidants (even more than green tea), and it’s naturally smooth flavour means it can be taken without the need for sugar or milk, making it a lower calorie option.

Clean Energy
Thanks to its slower-releasing effect, guayusa doesn’t spike your adrenaline the way coffee or energy drinks can. This means you get a uniquely focused and sustained energy, without the jitters or crash of other caffeine sources.

Mission-Driven
We source our organic guayusa from smallholder farmers in the Ecuadorian Amazon who use indigenous farming methods to grow guayusa in a way that protects the rainforest while allowing them to earn above Fairtrade rates.

The True
Super Leaf
Pronounced “why-you-sa” (yep, the g is silent), guayusa is the caffeinated leaf of a holly tree found almost exclusively in the Amazon rainforests of Ecuador. Revered for centuries by indigenous peoples in the region, this special leaf combines a deliciously smooth taste with the health benefits of green tea and the energising effect of coffee (minus the jitters and crash!)

Clean Energy
Guayusa's unique slow-release effect means you get caffeine's upsides (improved mood and energy) without the adrenaline-induced downsides (the jitters and crash).

Antioxidant Rich
Guayusa is packed with antioxidants (even more than green tea), particularly a type known as chlorogenic acids, known to help regulate blood sugars, aid in weight management, and more.

Smooth Tasting
Guayusa has a uniquely smooth taste, without the bitter tannins of other caffeine sources. This means its delicious and almost creamy taste can be enjoyed without the need for sugar or milk.

Work. Study. Move. Create.
Thanks to its slow-release effect, a cup of guayusa tea is the perfect side-kick to a marathon study session, a long day at the office, an intense workout at the gym, or for getting in the creative flow.
Steeped in History
Although the guayusa leaf has only been discovered outside of the Amazon in the last decade, it has been brewed by Ecuador’s indigenous communities for centuries. Each morning before sunrise, they gather as a community and drink gourds of freshly brewed guayusa, to start their day with energy and focus.
